ARLCS After School Program Teacher
Job Description
Under the supervision of the ARLCS After School Coordinator, the Advisor will advise the Coordinator in the development and implementation of after school programs for scholars and community members, including, but not limited to: academic enrichment; sports and recreation; visual and performing arts; health/nutrition; technology; environmental/outdoor education; etc. Other additional duties include: advisement of the scheduling and supervision of staff; coordination and implementation of school-site activities.
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in planning and successful implementation of after school programs.
Recruit and enroll students into the program.
Provide academic assistance and support to all students during designated times.
Promote participation of students, school staff, volunteers, and parents.
Co-designs, establishes and helps to implement and review program systems and logistics under the direction of the Coordinator.
Advises on the daily coordination of the after-school program, monitoring the program flow and structure, maintaining school-based relationships with administrators and teachers.
Advise the program Coordinator about overall classroom management, and the implementation of a program of instruction that engages scholars.
Build rapport with scholars and families and report daily to parents about scholar experiences
Collaborate with program team to create and implement a cohesive learning experience for participants.
Advise the Coordinator and team how to ensure the safety of scholars by being aware of potential hazards and addressing them.
Support community relations by acting as an ambassador for ARLCS as necessary with community members, program participants, partners, collaborators, supporters and advocates, actively building relationships that will advance the mission and outcomes of our organization.

Hours
Part time
M - F : 4-6 pm (possibly 3:30 as needed)
Hourly Pay
$20 per hour |

Education & Experience
College degree preferred.
Experience with students/scholars in an after school or education setting.

Related professional development to include training on mandatory reporting
