Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for leading rigorous, engaging, and developmentally appropriate math instruction to 3rd and 4th grade scholars. You will build strong relationships with your scholars, implement effective instructional strategies, and work as a key member of a collaborative grade-level and content team.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality daily math instruction aligned to state standards and ARLCS’s data-informed curriculum

• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse academic needs and learning styles of scholars

• Design and implement assessments to monitor scholar progress and inform instruction

• Foster a growth mindset and mathematical confidence in all scholars

• Collaborate with colleagues, interventionists, and instructional coaches to maximize scholar achievement

• Use math manipulatives, digital tools, small groups, and inquiry-based learning to deepen understanding

• Create a safe, structured, and joyful classroom where scholars feel known, heard, and challenged

• Actively participate in school-wide professional development, data meetings, and family engagement opportunities

• Support the social-emotional development of scholars through culturally responsive classroom practices

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid Arkansas teaching license with appropriate elementary or middle-level certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field

• Strong understanding of elementary math standards and child development

• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and families

Preferred:

• Experience teaching 3rd or 4th grade in a diverse learning environment

• Knowledge of math interventions and enrichment strategies

• Familiarity with Eureka Math, Illustrative Math, or similar programs

• Comfort using data platforms to track student progress
